| Princess DI's 7th House Cancer Sun shows a preoccupation with husband and motherhood as a focus for her life. Because of the trine to Neptune in her 10th House, that relationship to the husband would likely enhance her "career" and public prominence in some way--starting with a profound sense of perfection but turning into part of the illusion she dreams about partnership. In other words she might imagine more than is there. There's likely to be a somewhat vague aspect to the relationship (Neptune) but then taking on a challenging, irritating quality from the hard angle from her 3rd H Aquarian Moon (ruling her Cancer Sun). Her Aquarian Moon may indicate her own aloof, private emotional | nature--or her husband's. What's
important is that it exists inside her, needs to be dealt with, not just projected
out. This may have to do with her basic shyness (Cancer Sun), but also is reinforced
by the hard angle to Uranus, indicating that she has trouble with feelings & feeling
dependent on anyone, so she keeps her distance in some way. Often we may deal with
our emotions by picking someone else who acts out what we avoid in ourselves. Her Moon's placement right next to her South Node shows she's done this in her past (former incarnations?), and has chosen to work this out in terms of motherhood--both with her own mother, her mother-in-law, and being a mother. |
| Because Astrology offers unlimited
information, I can discuss the nature of her Sun, marriage, and connection
to her environment for a very long time--just on the Sun & Moon. Then when I
finish, another Astrologer could then discuss this from another point of view, and so
would still a different Astrologer. My approach goes into the themes for the life, or problem or focus. With emphasis on the Nodes & Outer Planets as spiritual guides for understanding the intention of a life, I expect that Diana struggled with pontification (Queen, Charles, royal requirements, British Thou-shalts) around her as she sought to find her own way (all from her Pluto and Nodes), and the way she best had to toss off these voices of authority she believed in but now challenged was to break from attachments and move toward her own inner spirit, as well as towards bringing out her |
creative nature as a mother by focusing on her
children and children in general. She had to overcome her own doubts and nervous
dependence on other people's words and ways to find her own, and also perhaps a spiritual
path that spoke to her, rather than something like the Church of England, for example. Had
she lived she would've been quite a spiritual light for the populous, and this perhaps was
true in the last years of her life and even in her death! 10th House Neptune says the same: that as she would overcome insecurities that manifest in clashes with authorities, she would be a natural leader and take on her evolutionary purpose of establishing her spiritual nature in her own right, not depend on others to be the supports to develop herself.
